The Perfect Chocolate Cake

First, the ingredients.

2 cups white sugar

1 s multi-purpose flour cup

Half a cup of unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon of baking soda

½ cup vegetable oil

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

I recommend selecting your ingredients, this will make adding ingredients easier and less chance of error when measuring. I would suggest you heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, but if you think the oven might cook differently, get an oven thermometer and check it. This recipe also calls for 9-inch round cake pans. Grease and flour cake pans.

The first thing I usually do is collect sugar and oil together. Then add one egg and cream with the oil / sugar mixture. Mix in a second egg and just cream together so that no traces of eggs remain. Then add vanilla and mix a little. (This recipe already requires only two teaspoons of vanilla, but I like the flavor that vanilla gives to cakes, so I always add a little more.)

Next, mix the baking soda, flour, baking powder and cocoa powder together in a separate bowl and add salt. Slowly pour the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Then add the milk. After adding all the ingredients, beat an average low speed for about one minute. After that, slowly stir in boiling water until combined.

Pour the mixture into two prepared pans. (Yes, I do it just because I did it many times.) If you want to measure, I recommend pouring the mixture into the measuring cup and then pouring half of the mixture from the measuring cup into one cake pan and the rest to the other.

Place the cake in the oven at 350 ° F for most ovens for 30 to 35 minutes. I usually do more than 30 years, just so I don't bake the cake.

In 30 minutes, I was checking the cake to see how it is done. The best way to do this is by entering a tooth pick and making sure it is clean.

When cooling the cake, I recommend that you leave it in the pan and place the pan on a wire cooling rack for 15-20 minutes. Take a butter knife and go around the edge of the cake before taking it out of the pan. Then, place a dish on top of the cake and then quickly turn the pan over the plate and gently tap to remove the cake from the pan. Let the cake cool for a while before trying to frost it (or just eat it easily, because that's also delicious!).
